disco (noun)

1. A club or party at which people dance to pop music ///// 2. Short for disco music ///// 3. The common name used for Dorset based geek, runner, photographer and all round good guy Stuart Mackenzie.

My name is Stuart Mackenzie and I live with my lovely wife (Chloe) and daughter (Robyn) in Dorset on the south coast of the United Kingdom. I am currently employed as an ICT Operations Manager supporting a SAP system for Dorset County Council.

When I’m not working hard I can probably be found indulging my interest in photography (film and digital), tinkering with my website or (and most likely) RUNNING! I’ve become such a running nerd over the last year or two that I’ve now had to move all of my running posts to a separate blog called run disco run to keep things focussed.

Other interesting and little known facts about me include that I used to play bass in a local band (and we weren’t half bad), I once helped produce a slightly irreverent but very geeky technology podcast called podgoat and I’ve also had one of my photographs published in a book by Martin Parr. My daughter wants to be a ninja when she grows up.
