015: Golden Snitch

Uploading a day late today. This was taken yesterday just before I went out running. Robyn was too busy watching one of the Harry Potter films to turn round and smile for the camera.

Nothing that exciting to report in the days events apart from me signing up to run the Bath Half marathon in March for UNICEF UK (more about that later) and Mrs Disco being approached to become the student representative for this years intake at Uni (she is a right swotty know it all so perfect choice). Robyn’s school trip yesterday to Buddens farm was a success but she came home very tired. Walking around in the sunshine for hours followed by Netball club had taken its toll. Cake and Potter combo perked her up though.

Last nights run was interesting as ran from Dorchester to Weymouth and back again (11 and a bit miles). Much of this route is not street lit and some of it even goes away from traffic so is completely dark. I had a small LED bike light with me to illuminate the space in front of my feet but other than that I was running blind. A really strange feeling but in some ways quite nice. Your other senses become heightened and the night sky becomes a very pretty picture. I think i’ll invest in a proper head torch before I try it again though.
